Outdoor carol service to return

HINCKLEY’S annual outdoor carol service will bring some early festive spirit to the town centre in December.

Everyone is invited to join the Mayor of the Borough, Councillor Ted Hollick, to gather around the Christmas tree in the Market Place on Friday 10 December from 4pm until 4:45pm.

The congregation will sing a number of well-known carols, accompanied by musicians from Living Rock Church and local schools.

This year's service has been organised by Churches Together and the Borough Council and will be led by Reverend Simon Wearn, Rector, Holy Trinity Church in Hinckley.

Executive Member for Town Centres at the Borough Council, Councillor Keith Nichols said:

Thank you to all officers and Church Leaders involved in organising this event. It is heartening to see the community of Hinckley coming together to celebrate the true spirit of Christmas out in the fresh air. Everyone is very welcome to come along to this seasonal occasion and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
