Hinckley and Bosworth residents are being asked to loan photos and memorabilia for a special exhibition to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The Atkins Gallery in Hinckley is appealing for memorabilia to be used in the exhibition which will be open from Monday 11 July to Friday 12 August.

Do you have any photos of when you or a member of the family were presented to the Queen? Have you got an invitation to the Queens Garden party or investiture? A copy of the coronation programme? Would you be willing to loan your mugs, tea towels, souvenir china, commemorative coins, medals? Do you have a letter signed from the Queen? Or as a local business, charity or community group do you display a portrait of the Queen?

Whatever you may have to offer our exhibition planners would love to hear from you. All items gratefully received, carefully displayed and returned.

Please contact the Atkins Gallery by email: info@atkinsbuilding.co.uk

Councillor Keith Nichols: Executive Member for Culture, Leisure, Tourism and Town Centres said:

There are a great many opportunities this year to celebrate this anniversary but to see what our residents have to display would be fascinating, sparking nostalgia and curiosity.

This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to delve into the archives and see what treasures we can share. The exhibition team would be most grateful.
