A POPULAR FOOD FESTIVAL wowed the public over the weekend (6 and 7 August) when it returned to Hinckley for its fifth year.

Visitors to the Borough Council’s free-to-attend Feast Hinckley in Argents Mead were spoiled for choice with over 45 vendors offering a range of national and international cuisine. Performances from five live bands and musicians - Acsia, The Jigantics, Debbie Lacey, Richie Phillips and Amy Lancaster - entertained the crowd over the weekend and a 120ft giant inflatable assault course sponsored by Hinckley BID kept the kids happy.

Visitors were able to enjoy the summer sunshine this year as well as the range of food options and attractions on offer. Local radio station Fosse 107 provided the soundtrack to the weekend and even four-legged friends were considered with stalls selling a variety of pet treats.

Executive Member for Culture at the Borough Council, Councillor Keith Nichols said:

It was a real delight to have this popular food festival return to Hinckley. I have seen so many comments from people saying how much they enjoyed the food, drink and entertainment on offer. My thanks to our events team, Fosse 107, Leicester Event Medical Team, Hinckley BID to all our council Street Scene and Green Spaces Teams and to the vendors and of course to the thousands of people who came along and supported this wonderful event.

Feast returns to Argents Mead next August and planning is already well underway for the popular Festive Feast and Crafts Market taking place on December 11 in Market Place, Hinckley. Visit the Facebook page @feasthinckley for highlights and information about future events.
