Clergy and church members of different denominations, the Royal British Legion and Veterans Groups, Civic Leaders, representatives of the Guiding, Scouting and Cadet Organisations will all contribute to the morning’s service.

The service will start just before 11am and all are welcome to attend. Anyone planning to come along is respectfully asked to ensure they arrive at the memorial gardens by 10:45am.

There will be a parade from the hospital car park on Mount Road to the war memorial before the service.  Following the service, there will be a parade down Castle Street, through the Market Place - where a salute will be taken - and into St Marys Road where the parade will disperse.

Mayor of Hinckley and Bosworth, Councillor Ted Hollick said:

We are pleased that so many veterans, serving personnel, uniformed organisations and members of the public attend Hinckley’s Remembrance Parade and Service and this year we will be able to return to a full service and parade and remember those who have served our country. It is a very moving occasion and I am honoured to be taking the salute on behalf of the borough.

Please check individual parish council websites and the council’s events page for listings for other Remembrance events and parades throughout the borough.
